Which Do You Choose to See?

Every morning I receive a “Note from the Universe”, a brief email ‘written’ by the Universe and aligned to my hopes and dreams.

Today’s message was most compelling, offering insight into that which is known but often ‘lost’. It read simply,

“Dearest Tara,

It’s not possible to significantly change your life, for better or for worse, by manipulating the material world. Not by working harder, not by studying longer, not by schmoozing, not by sweating, not by fasting, not by the hair of your chinny chin chin.

Rather, great change is inescapable when you first begin manipulating the world of your thoughts.”

Oh, my dearest loves, indeed. For it’s only when our hearts have been settled to ‘right’, that we may finally begin to see the world as it truly is.

That is to say, as an extension of that which is already within.

“What we do see depends mainly on what we look for,” shares author John Lubbock. “In the same field the farmer will notice the crop, the geologists the fossils, botanists the flowers, artists the colouring, sportmen the cover for the game.”

In looking to this earth, astronaut Neil Armstrong described a ‘pale, blue dot’. But for me, I choose to see the earth as a carefully nurtured blossom, paled against a deepened sea. Like the Lotus flower with petals unscathed, it is a reminder of the choice that is always ours.

So, the question I have on this day, my loves is – what do you choose to see?
