This Experience of Life.

Author and teacher, Alan Watts, writes,

“How is it possible that a being with such sensitive jewels as the eyes, such enchanted musical instruments as the ears, and such fabulous arabesque of nerves as the brain can experience itself anything less than a god.”

I think sometimes we humans get it ‘wrong’. That is to say, we withhold our loveliness, fearful that our experiences might give it all away.

And yet, knowing we are not merely the orchestration of action. Rather, we are a glorious continuation – a manifestation of the very same spark that once fueled this world.

We are stardust and atoms, a miracle of molecules and form. But we are nothing without this breath of life. It is this very thread that connects us all, and through which this universe was born.

“Through our eyes, the universe is perceiving itself,” he shares. “Through our ears, the universe is listening to its harmonies. We are the witnesses through which the universe becomes conscious of its glory, of its magnificence.”

So, then – why must we always push to be something beyond ourselves? Are we suffering the separation of mind and heart?

Between each breath, the chest rises and falls. And, when we let go… we become.

In peace and with much love, my sweet friends…
