In This Space of Love.

There was a police action along the route to work this morning; a young woman and infant child were killed during a drive-by shooting. In the moments to follow, people began to gather – onlookers, witnesses and family desperately seeking to understand.

“In broad daylight,” I overheard one of them say. “How on Earth could we allow this to happen?” In those few short words, he spoke to an unrelinquishable truth; beyond the horror and shock where the deeper heart lies.

E.B. White writes, “Every morning I awaken torn between the desire to save the world and the inclination to savor it.” As I looked to the faces of those gathered around, I saw only one thing – I saw love. And, I realized just how powerful this moment was – even in the worst of times, through the inkiest depths of a seemingly endless darkness…there is love. It is this love that permeates and transcends all circumstances and things.

Sometimes we make the mistake of clinging to the wrong things, and we miss it. What we recognize as form is just the beginning. Love, and only love…this is our connection.

In peace and with much love today, my friends. Please, please…cherish this day.

Namaste ❣
