How We Are Made Whole.

I remember the first time I lost someone quite close to me – I felt as if my heart had been irreparably broken, that I would never know joy again.

Day after day, and sometimes even moment by moment…I fought through a darkness so profound I could no longer remember the warmth of light.

When grief strikes, it shatters our world crumbling to a fine dust every aspect of normality. We struggle to breathe as our breath becomes labored. There is a radical shift in our reality; that which we’ve known is never truly the same.

Yet, somehow we find our way again. Just as a broken bone mended stronger, our pain likewise transforms. A boldness beckons as we emerge from these shadows.

Are we the same? Never. Though, in time we are made once again whole.

In peace…
