The Truth of Our Being.

Tibetan Buddhist teacher, Tsoknyi Rinpoche once wrote of the complexity of our path. “We need to stop doing and simply be,” he wrote. “We need to trust the spark within us.”

So often we struggle to find the balance within our spiritual practice. We read books, attend lectures, sit for hours in meditation… And, yet? Still, we walk away with a sense of disconnection. Though the teachings my offer clarity in course, the heart – in the end, will beg another.

Why?

Because, we can not give ourselves entirely to a process that isn’t uniquely our own.

For within each path there are a multitude of variables – choices by which we must reconcile experience, and moments in which our faith be forged. And, throughout it all – we must be true unto ourselves. We must allow ourselves the experience, while simultaneously balancing authenticity and integrity of spirit.

Only then may we discover our own true self.

“You don’t have to say anything.” he writes. “You just have to be who you are: a bright flame shining in the darkness of despair, a shining example of a person able to cross bridges by opening your heart and mind.”

And the first step, my loves – is just simply being. Because, in the end – we must first find our truth, in order to fully live it.

In peace…
