Through No Fault of Our Own.

My darlings, who do we blame when ‘bad’ things occur?

Do we blame the earth for its rising waters in the aftermath of a catastrophic storm? Or, do we call upon the fault of sky for the diminishing colors at dawn?

My darlings, we were born into an imperfect world – one ripe with the faults and foibles of a universe teetering upon edge. And we, as humans, make mistakes. We think irrationally and get confused – forgetting our own hearts within.

Though we may try our best to circumvent challenge; the truth is…suffering is inevitable. Likewise, we can’t ‘blanket the earth in softened leather’.

Just as our physical world through no fault of its own is prone to sudden upheaval; so, too, must we accept the same of spirit. That is to say, we cannot assign fault to that which is a byproduct of condition and circumstance.

Though, we may certainly tailor our perception. As Padma Karpo once wrote, we are “not the agent in power but the victim of our projections.”

Sometimes things just happen, my loves. And, we are left to stand alone in the aftermath of our own inner storm. Though we may wish to attribute blame, ultimately there may be neither reason nor cause. Things just are, and this moment – just is.

And we must be ever-mindful, my friends — lest we mirror the lesson of Princess Turandot, who blamed all of man for the fault of one.

Though, only in the end to discover – that the secret of happiness was locked within.

Namaste, my loves ~ ❤️
