On This Day, I Choose Love.

I watched a beautiful lecture this morning given by the honorable Matthieu Ricard, a Tibetan monk-activist who has trained extensively as a biologist.

His words were simple, and yet brilliantly thought provoking – asking us to please consider the longer-term ramifications of our daily choices.

To attempt to summarize would be a great disservice. Likewise, I feel compelled to share his teachings by whatever means I have available.

My only hope is that my simple words may do his justice.

““Happiness does not come automatically,” he writes. “It is not a gift that good fortune bestows upon us and a reversal of fortune takes back. It depends on us alone.”

My darlings, we are the creators of our own ‘destiny.’ Every crossroads, every decision – each twist and turn – all leads us to the center-most point of our purpose.

It is here, where we are destined to grow.

I think William Jennings Bryan may have said it best, ““Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice.”

Indeed, that we might always set this intention to mind – that the world which surrounds us is exactly as we’ve chosen it to be.

And so, on this day – “I choose…to be happy.”

A little reminder for you day, my loves ~ <3
