Where We May Find the Divine.

[blockquote source=”Bono”]”The one thing we can all agree, all faiths, all ideologies, is that God is with the vulnerable and the poor. God is in the slums, in the cardboard boxes where the poor play house… God is in the silence of a mother who has infected her child with a virus that will end both their lives… God is in the cries heard under the rubble of war… God is in the debris of wasted opportunity and lives, and God is with us if we are with them.”[/blockquote]

Indeed, God is everywhere.

God is in the trees that bend and sway with the breeze…

God is in the gentleman who held the door for me, and seeing that I was struggling with the weight of my packages..then, helped me to the car…

And, in every heart-felt smile…and the moment when patience prevails…

And intertwined and twixt the kindest of words, sent late into the evening and from the dearest of souls.

My dear, God is everywhere – the God that you choose to view.

And, what does it matter what we may call it, my dears?  What should it matter, our beliefs? Our backgrounds, our experiences? And, the political mutterings on…

When we know, that it is love that joins us all.

For me, a simple Buddhist…’my religion is compassion.’ And, to my last breath, I promise I shall make this my purpose.

That all beings on this most brilliant Earth, find peace, happiness, and a release from suffering…that they know the gift of Compassion’s truest light.

That is to say,

“May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free.
May the powerless find power and may people think of befriending one another.
May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wildernesses – the children, the aged, the unprotected – be guarded by beneficent celestials…”

My dear,  I believe that we are all gathered here for one most magnificent purpose… and with that purpose, comes the greatest of spiritual responsibility:

That we may always show and share this one great love with this world – a world, that so desperately needs it.

[blockquote source=”Bono”]”I believe that it is the desire of every sentient being for their life to make a difference beyond the immediate sphere- whether for their children or their friends or for the whole world.”[/blockquote]

Namaste, my most beautiful friends ~ and know, that we only need to look just as far as ourselves, to get a glimpse of what we call…the Divine.

From featured artist, Jashim Uddin – who so brilliantly captures the essence of love with a single ‘shutter stop.’ And, whose practice of compassion is the source of the words you see above.
