How to Listen.

“Have you ever heard the wonderful silence just before the dawn? Or the quiet and calm just as a storm ends? Or perhaps you know the silence when you haven’t the answer to a question you’ve been asked, or the hush of a country road at night, or the expectant pause of a room full of people when someone is just about to speak, or, most beautiful of all, the moment after the door closes and you’re alone in the whole house? Each one is different, you know, and all very beautiful if you listen carefully.”  ~ Norton Juster

I was sitting quietly in meditation this morning ~ the sounds of summer’s great crescendo filling the air surrounding me…rising and falling, as if in sync with my very own breath.

There’s a certain magic here ~ in these moments when our minds are finally still enough to hear the magnificence that surrounds us…

It’s when we are silent, that we are most able to listen.

And, my dears, when we truly listen, everything in this world becomes most beautiful once again.

Namaste, my most beautiful friends…may we all find a moment to be still in this day.
