What Creates the Sorrow?

I’ve always felt it rather curious that some may experience suffering as separate from self – viewing external factors as the cause of their unrest.

Whereas others may choose to welcome these moments with a sense of equanimity, non-judgement and a willingness to understand.

Yet, what distinguishes the two? Is it faith, is it trust – is it a basic appreciation for the simpler cause and effect? Or, perhaps complexity persists in our inability to detach from the story?

We’re often reminded of the necessity to let go – however, not often do we allow ourselves the foundation for learning through application in these more trying of circumstances.

Though we may genuinely want for happiness, we are hesitant to accept without consideration of ‘worthiness’ – placing judgement before the higher need.

All the while, never once realizing – that it’s the letting go which offers the better hold.

A little something to consider, my loves – is it the condition or the attachment which propagates sorrow?

In peace…
