Freedom

These Walls We Create.

I was reminded of a story this morning; it was that of a prisoner wrongfully accused, incarcerated for a crime he did not commit.

He could have easily become embittered, disheartened with a process that had so obviously ‘failed’ him. Instead? He found a patch of blue sky instead.

It was the only thing he could see from the confines of his cell; a single patch of midnight blue poking through the prison walls. It was the first time he had ever really noticed the sky; and here he was, just days before his death, finding peace within the depth of its simplicity.

As he watched the light transition between flowered blooms, he realized – that these prison walls only represented one aspect of his confinement. That the mind was also, in a sense, ‘incarcerated.

In that moment he experienced a sense of freedom unlike any he had ever known.

The artist, Claude Monet found freedom in the expansiveness of light within the shadows. He saw beyond the confines of the artists palate, creating an entire universe within the boundaries of a stretched white canvas. Within the light he saw what so many others had missed – that within each moment there is endless possibility/transition

“I can only draw what I see.” he once said. Such wise words, don’t you think?

That we might be able to look beyond the palate of our everyday thinking.

My darlings, within each moment – there is a transition, representing the endless capacity of our human soul.

A little something to consider on this day; that is, we’re only limited by the walls we choose to create.

Namaste ❤️

The Sunrise of Our Soul.

“Go within ,
hear the story of sunrise from sun itself~
if there were no sunrise within
I would have set long ago. ” – Jalāl ad-Dīn Rumi

My darlings, there is beautiful light within us. An untouched radiance, gifted to this human soul.

Sparked by a single, glowing ember. A flickering glimpse into spirit – undeterred, resilient.

And, with each new breath – it grows.

Watch it rise and fall; awareness, dancing shadows along the wall. Through its grace, we are defined.

We are the sun, gathering light.

And this, is the sunrise of our soul.

Promise me, you’ll not wait till the end to enjoy it.
