Our Need for One Another.

We have a new puppy in our home – ‘Eurus’, a miniature American Eskimo. She came to us in an hour of mutual need; she, requiring ‘home’, and we, needing her service.

As many of you know, I am often challenged by the limitations in my mobility. By the end of each day, I’m nearly incapacitated by the pain. At times, my tears reminding of what has been lost and what has been gained.

Whereas, physically I’m unable to move as before – in an odd twist, my heart has been freed. Likewise, in these moments I am again reminded – my friends, in this world we truly need one another.

When we are first overwhelmed, we may begin to assume that our place holds no value; believing our circumstances too burdensome for others to bear.

But, those who love us will find blessings in their service. They’ll do for us, just as we would for them.

As I hold the now snoozing pup safely in my arms, I realize – in this world, I promise you, we need one another. For the support and encouragement, yes. But, more so, to remind of our indefatigable connection. A loving touch, a moment of peace, and the knowledge that we are never truly alone.

In peace, my sweet friends..
