Keeping the Vessel Filled.

There is an old saying, “we can not give from an empty cup.” Meaning, we must first attend to this space we call home before we can invite another in.

Though, for many of us, we are perpetually giving –  beyond that which can be reasonably shared. We exhaust ourselves caring for the needs of others, forgetting the necessity of keeping our own vessel filled.

And, yet – in reality, it is the flow itself which yields the balance.

We find our peace in gentle rhythms. Just as twilight unfolds into the edge of night, we are made whole through this motion of changing sky. Neither drifting, not clinging – rather, by opening and giving.

In peace my sweet friends…
