Just As The Breath Flows Freely.

There are two ways to experience the wind. The first is that of rushing forward, and with arms extended fully – hoping to fly. And, yet another – through stillness; allowing that which is there to greet and ultimately encompass.

Yet, which of these means is preferred?

To boldly risk, for the sake of becoming? Or, to engage the far simpler affects of heart?

In The Book of Awakening, author Mark Nepo writes: “There are endless times we need to be still, and as many times that we need to move… But much of our confusion comes from trying to have the one we are more comfortable with substitute for the other.”

To chase the wind, allows us to become. Just as endeavouring towards stillness, grants us permission to be. Meanwhile, within its midst – the breath flows freely.

In peace, my sweet friends…
